This short film shares my purpose as both an environmentalist and an islander. I was born, raised and currently live in Hawai‘i, the most isolated archipelago on the planet. I wanted to share with audiences how necessary it is for island people to be thoughtful of their resources. I also wanted to share that being a part of nature is the best way to learn how to protect her. At the end of the short, I reveal that the island home I am referring to in the film is planet Earth. I hope this film inspires audiences to become better stewards of our cosmic little island in this galactic sea of stars. The video was shot in the Channel Islands off of California, the Komodo Islands in Indonesia, Todos Santos Island in Baja California, in West Ireland, the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, and Maui.
